Schnitterlied

Hi everyone,

this is a bit different from my usual style, because I painted it for screen-printing class.
For screen printing you use a woven mesh as a kind of stencil, so the picture should consist of lines and spaces.
the task was to illustrate a song, I chose a german song from the 17th century.
It compares young girls to flowers which are cut down by the reaper, thus reminding them to be decent and pious.
I like mushrooms better than flowersXD
